My antidote for spring showers – Get blitzed!

Need a little pick-me-up? Pay attention – If you want to get to heaven, the Body Blitz Spa can show you the way. They take hydrotherapy to new and intoxicating levels – and that’s before your treatment even starts.

Get Blitzed in Toronto!Get Blitzed in Toronto!Located in downtown Toronto and surrounded by hip eateries, the Body Blitz Spa is the ultimate in urban escapes – no line-ups, no tipping and no guys allowed.

But be forewarned – arrive early and plan to spend the day.

You pay for your treatment, but it’s the pool circuit that makes this spa unique. Start by soaking in the Dead Sea Salt pool, which is soothing relief for achy joints. Then move onto the green tea pool (anti-aging), Eucalyptus steam room (releases toxins and impurities) and an infrared for more detox.

And don’t forget the cold plunge pool – an excruciating 66F for a full minute, which feels like ten.

Alternating hot with cold stimulates the lymphatic system, ridding your body of toxins while opening it to healing. What’s more, you can take a break mid-circuit for a treat from the in-house juice bar – sublime!

My Deluxe Body Glow began with a thorough cleansing Body Treatments at Body BlitzBody Treatments at Body Blitzand scrubbing of my entire body with sweet ginger, maple syrup and orange oil. My noodle-like limbs flopped on the table as my therapist drizzled warm milk over me. A pressure-point body and scalp massage followed, along with a nourishing facial treatment. While a seaweed mask fed my face, my hair was washed and conditioned – which was as close to nirvana as I’ve ever been.

Whether you want to enjoy the therapeutic waters without a spa treatment or bundle body treatments with massages, you’ll find what you’re looking for here. But you can also skip the spa altogether and just come for the waters – a whole day is less than $50.

Long story short, how can you afford not to get blitzed?

I had just purchased it on board the ship the day prior. But nothing can compare to the loss of a family member. The Captain had everyones attention for the announcement. Captain Draper done a great job informing the passengers of the accident. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Rumphrey family."

My heart was so heavy over the thought of his dear parents losing their son on what was to be a very happy time. My heart is with his family and I will pray for them."

I was very impressed with the way Captain Draper handled the situation and I told him so. He made it a priority to inform all passengers and eliminated rumor and speculation. It's nice to know the other passengers involved felt the driver saved their lives. The roads in Tortola are terrible and I'm sure much skill is involvd navigating them safely. I hope you enjoyed your cruise, despite this tragedy. Julia"

  • On Tour Bus Crash in Tortola – Caribbean Princess Passenger Dies, Anonymous said "I just returned from this tragic Caribbean Princess cruise. Although I was not a part of this particular excursion, it was both saddening and shocking for everyone on the ship when Capt. Draper made the announcements. The following day, we spoke to one of the excursion bus passengers who felt the bus driver did everything in his power to slow the bus down and they felt the bus driver had saved all of their lives. According to my fellow passenger, the fatality was caused by the young man being thrown through the front windshield. Of note, it was rumored told during the cruise that a witness saw the brakes being worked prior to the excursion."
