Take me to the moon!

You've never been one to shy away from boldness. You know it. And it's the reason that the Playboy Club at the Palms Resort in Vegas is the perfect place to show off your hot new Jimmy Choos.

Playboy ClubPlayboy ClubIf you're in the group that mourned when the last Playboy club closed (shhh, we won't tell Gloria Steinem!) the Playboy Club in Vegas is a sweet reincarnation. True, it's not quite the bastion of cool that it was in the 60's, but it takes vintage to a whole new level.

Like most nightclubs in Vegas, this place vibrates at an ultra-fast pace, but it also boasts sprawling video screens replaying vintage magazine covers and expansive gambling. And though the "Bunny is back," as Hugh said when he unveiled it, bunnies excel at serving drinks, not dealing the tables.

This isn't a low-class topless joint though - it's an ultra-chic replay of traditional Heffner style. Forget the topless girls - no nudity allowed. Instead, enjoy the bachelor pad mojo (with fireplaces and sleek couches) laid out in lush style.

When you're ready to trip the light's fantastic, take yourself up to Moon, the raison d'etre.

Moon was made for you - the ultra-lounge that's best enjoyed with stilettos and a hot date draped across your arm. Almost 60 floors above the city, this is where you were made for, Baby.

Cheap one-liners aside, whether that hot date is attached to your hip or you're here for after-business stress relief, the music is sweet. And there's no shortage of bunnies bearing drinks.

I'd like to post pictures of my visit last week, but I was too busy enjoying the eye candy and hip-to-hip dancing to remember even my own name. Maybe next time.......not!

Opens daily at 8 pm. Cover charge includes Playboy and Moon, $20 on weekdays, $40 on weekends.

Have you been to the Playboy Club in Vegas. Did you make it to the Moon?

And yes, we adore the Bay of Fundy :-) While I'll agree it's no longer parka weather in your neck of the woods, it's not quite string bikini weather either. Shall we toast to it and let the beer warm us up? Happy St Paddy's Day! Julia"

  • On Canada Goes Green for St. Patrick's Day, Terri said "hey Travel girls, great to hear that you love our Bay of Fundy here on the east coast of Canada as much as you love Tim Horton's ...and, as a Bay of Fundy chick, I love the green tide analogy. For sure, there will be lots of fun times down here around St Paddy's day but I just want to send you a correction to say you certainly won't be needing a parka? to visit at this time of year. It's +8 to +10 degress Celius (that's in the 50s F for our American friends) - definitely well above parka weather. haha So nice that the birds are chirping and the maple sap is flying out of the trees and, ultimately, on to our pancakes. Happy spring! Terri the Bay of Fundy blogger bayoffundy.blogspot.com "

  • On Tour Bus Crash in Tortola – Caribbean Princess Passenger Dies, Jan said "We were also on the ship with our friends, had spent the day at the beach in Tortola where the slider on my Omega came off, "broke" and lost. I had just purchased it on board the ship the day prior. But nothing can compare to the loss of a family member. The Captain had everyones attention for the announcement. Captain Draper done a great job informing the passengers of the accident. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Rumphrey family."
