Some elements of daily life you just can't leave at home - medications, prescriptions and vitamins. But when you are on holidays, keeping these easily organized to stay on schedule is equally important.
Getting them to your destination is the first concern. Note that when crossing
borders, most countries require your medications to be in the original container with prescription details noted. Simply zip lock bag them in those original containers through to your destination in your carry-on (temperatures in flight baggage holds may reduce to freezing).
Once at your resort or destination, an easy way to keep the schedule of necessary medications and prescriptions organized is with the daily segmented containers. This allows sorting by day and daypart as many as you need for your stay.
- Another solution is to coordinate with your pharmacist a blister packing by day for the separation of your meds for the length of your stay direct from the pharmacist.
- Traveling with needles adds an extra level of concern (carrying, usage and safe disposal). Some airlines require advance notice if needles will be brought on board.
Think through the process and steps to make this necessity as smooth and easy for usage as possible.
