Celebrate Spring With Your Mom

Orlando is the perfect place to enjoy your first and best girlfriend

Your mom says she doesn't care where you go for your getaway - as long as the two of you are together.

She's lying.

We love taking our moms to Orlando, because there's so much to do there. Everything - shopping, theme parks, great food - is all close by. If variety is the spice of life for your mom, she'll love it here too.

Best GirlfriendsBest GirlfriendsOf course, doing Orlando with you will make the trip perfect. Honest.

Gaylord Palms Convention Center: While this resort caters to business travelers, it's a chic way to add opulence to your Orlando vacation. Book a room in the Emerald Tower overlooking Emerald Bay shopping and dinning in the St. Augustine atrium. They're the priciest rooms in the hotel, but Mom's worth it, right?

Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Resort: If the kids are tagging along, this is the perfect choice within Orlando. Kiss them goodbye in the morning because they'll lose themselves in the waterfalls, grottos, slides and a half acre of pool. And if Mom's a golfer, you can kiss her goodbye too - she'll want to spend her time on the 45-hole championship course designed by Jack Nicklaus.

Hard Rock Hotel at Universal: Mom a rocker? She's going to love the uber-modern lounge and speakers everywhere (including underwater in the pools). If you can't remember the day Elvis died or prefer Mozart over heavy metal, you've got some homework to do beforehand.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort: An Orlando round-up wouldn't be complete without a nod to Disney. Especially if your mom's a fan. All the rooms at this resort have full balconies - to make it easier to see the more than 200 animals roaming just outside. The best rooms are in the inner circle (Kudo and Zebra Trails) on the second and third floors. You'll be high enough to get the full picture but low enough to see the animals.

Got travel plans for you and your mom? Where are you going?
