Froth up your travel-beauty hopes with a little help from your girlfriends

We know you can hang glide and boogy board with the best of them. And when it comes to business travel, we bow to your fashionista shrewdness - 3 days worth of knockout boardroom sets into one tiny carry-on. Don't even get us started on your spa acumen...

Beautiful Travel AdventuresBeautiful Travel AdventuresBut it's time for a reality check - flaky is never appropriate. Safety comes first in hang gliding (and often in the boardroom!) but safety and looking fabulous can peacefully co-exist. Yes, even when you're traveling.

GoGirlfriend practise safe beauty travel and believes all women have the right to a smooth, sexy glow. Got somewhere to travel? Get your smooth operator status with these pics:

Rodika & Cornel Serum

When hope is not enough, restore your skin's vitality and radiance with the goodness of grape seed, hazelnut, sunflower (and whole bunch of organic goodies). What it is - lightweight hydration that seems to magically balance oily areas while nourishing dry zones.

I met Rodika on Twitter and she sent me a sample toRodika & Cornel Serum

Rodika & Cornel Serum

try, telling me how fabulous it was for travel. The serum arrived in a 1 fl oz jar, but a travel size serum is free with every purchase. What I love about this serum is that not only does it feed my face as a day and night moisturizer, it also tames fly-aways (from all that dry, stuffy airplane air). As an added bonus, Mr. GoGirlfriend loves the smell of my skin - which always leads to a happy reunion after a long trip. Available online for $60 USD.

Sexy Mother Pucker - Soap & Glory

I love Soap & Glory's product line up almost as much as I like their edgy slogans. Sadly, I can't take most of them on the plane because of size restrictions for carry-ons. But that's all changed with their new lip plumper. No, I don't have an Angelina Joile love-on, but sometimes the smile needs a jumpstart.

Sexy MotherPucker GlossSexy MotherPucker GlossMost lip plumpers take effect with the first swipe. This one doesn't. Mush your lips together for the tingling to start, which lasts up to 15 minutes. I find it a little unnerving and actually checked the mirror to see if my lips were visibly twitching - make sure you apply in advance of that big meeting.

I love that it's a sticky gloss with very little color, so it lasts through marathon coffee drinking sessions and doesn't leave your lips craving for moisture at the end. It's not all that natural, but it's effective - and inexpensive. Available online for $10 USD.

Bare Escentuals Get Started Kit

I interviewed Leslie Blodgett (the brains behind the brand) while I was an editor at ePregnancy and her intuitive understanding of what women look for in beauty products astounded me. The entire line amplifies your natural beauty rather than hiding it behind a mask - and it's gentle enough for even the most sensitive skin types.

If you're new to the brand, I recommend the GetBare Escentuals BeautyBare Escentuals Beauty Started Kit, customizable by skintone. You'll find everything you need for lips, eyes and cheeks and a tutorial on how to apply. Mineral cosmetics are different than traditional cosmetics, so take time to play with your look. Consider this your fair warning though - Bare Escentuals (Bare Minerals and MD Formulations also part of the brand) are highly addictive. Available online for $49 USD.

Experience Hair Care Shine Serum

Experience Hair CareExperience Hair CareI'll be honest. I use Experience products because my colorist threatens that if I use anything else she'll divorce me. And since she's responsible for the one accessory I can't change out, I listen. Experience is relatively new in haircare industry and Canadian, and they're committed to making the world more beautiful with natural and organic ingredients.

Their products can be challenging to find (unless you know my colorist, Alison) and they don't do travel-friendly sizes - expect for their shine serum. Since I use as little product on my hair as possible, the 2 oz shine serum is all I need.
